Report: Germany to return Nord Stream turbine to Germany soon
MOSCOW, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- Canada plans to return a turbine for the Nord Stream gas pipeline to Germany after repairs as soon as possible, a Siemens official told Reuters on July 10.
"The Canadian government said in a statement on Saturday it was issuing a "time-limited and revocable permit" to exempt the return of turbines from its Russian sanctions," the newswire reported.
Russian gas giant Gazprom is pumping less than half of the pipeline’s maximum capacity to Germany because of Siemens’ inability to return Portovaya compressor station’s turbines from Canada after repairs because of the anti-Russian sanctions.
